We hope you all had an exciting Carnival Break!
The week before Carnival students could go ahead and research about a topic of their interest and share with the class. They discussed about how to use on-line tools and practiced ways to narrow down their research when using a search-engine such as Kidsrex. They also practiced addition and subtraction using money, pretending to buy items from leaflets and working out change. It's good practice for their challenge to come.
In Jd. Europa Campus, students have started their swimming lessons this term. It's once a week: Omega on Tuesdays and Sigma on Thursdays. Students must bring their swimming kit AND the PE uniform on swimming days.
And... We celebrated Carnival!
PYP 5 had a time to shine in from of the primary school! It was lots of fun!
This week we are back in full speed right into BOOK WEEK! There are lots of different events planned to happen throughout the week related to the theme ADVENTURES, but also, it's the last week of Unit 4 and student will go out on a field trip to the supermarket with a challenge in hands: To plan and organise a picnic for their class! So parents please make sure authorization and payment for the trip is sent back to school as soon as possible.
