Welcome back!

We hope you all had a great break!

April 22nd was Earth Day and the school is celebrating it this week. Students may come to school wearing blue and/or green colours on Tuesday 25th in Jd. Europa and on Wednesday 26th in Pinheiros Campus.

Also during this week, students will take their individual pictures. Beta will have their pictures taken on Tuesday 25th, Omega on Wednesday 26th and Sigma on Thursday 27th.

This Friday, PYP 6 and 7 will be organizing a bake sale, so anyone who wants to have a special snack may bring some money to school. (up to R$6,00).

There is also a workshop for parents happening this Friday. More information was sent via e-mail.

Great new experiences!

Last week was the student-led meetings!

Thank you very much to all parents for coming to the meetings and supporting your child. It was a great experience for students as they took ownership for their learning and reflected on their strengths and weaknesses to set new goals.

Well done PYP 5 students!

Students also went on a field trip last week. They visited MuBE - Museu Brasileiro da Escultura to observe and inquire into the thinking and planning behind an Art exhibition. The guide in the museum took them around the exhibition explaining the reasons and planning involving the exact position of many items on display. They also had the opportunity to try and draw an idea on paper and reproduce it on a 3D shape. It was another great experience!

This week students will sit for the SATs, so please ensure a good night sleep and nutritious breakfast to the children. The SATs are one of many assessment tools in school and will provide us with more information on how to help and guide students in their learning journey.

This week is also a short week. There is no school on Friday, it is a holiday, and students will leave at 12:00 on Thursday 13th, with no lunch.

And next week is Half Term Break!

There is no school next week! Students leave on Thursday 13th at 12:00 and come back to school only on Monday 24th, ready to work hard!

Student-Led Meetings

This week we are holding the Student-led Meetings. All students have prepared something to share and celebrate with parents. Students will be leading the meeting so we would like to ask parent to support your child in the meetings. It's a good opportunity for them to reflect about their learning journey and set clear goals. 

Students will not have school on the day of the meeting in each campus, but must come to the meeting wearing the complete school uniform.

All parents must have booked a time for their meetings in the teacher's page using the link sent via e-mail. Please click here if you still need to book a time for your meeting.

Jd. Europa Campus (PYP 5 Omega and Sigma)- Wednesday 5th

Last week, students were working with shapes, angles and directions and had different activities around the school. In  PYP 5 Beta, Valentina Masciotro brought a book called 50 Ideias para Desenhar e Pintar. The book is related to the genre we are learning, because it gives instructions of how to draw and paint.
